Hearing Is Given To Negro EmployeeAn inquiry
into charges of maltreatment involving alleged racial discrimination at Springfield
Armory was made this afternoon when Maurice E. Cruze, head of the industrial
relations, met with Mrs. Rosa L. Ward of 181-A Williams Street, her husband,
Rev. M. N. Ward, and her attorney, Erwin T. Dorch of Boston, for an interview.
No decision was made following the interview today as the case must be presented
to Col. George A. Woody, commanding officer, before any definite conclusions
are drawn. In the event Mrs. Ward is dissatisfied with the decisions, her case
may be appealed in Washington. The interview today was held after two previous
dates had been cancelled at the request of Mr. Dorch. |
